Selena Gomez stunned as she walked the Red Carpet at the 2024 Emmy Awards, but her dress may have been overlooked by her first official public appearance with new boyfriend, Benny Blanco.
The celebrity couple went Instagram official at the end of last year, although they announced they’d been secretly dating for six months prior. Now, Selena Gomez is showing her new boo off to the globe as he walks by her side at the prestigious television awards show.

The music producer proudly accompanied his girlfriend to the 75th Emmy Awards, however, he decided to let her have her moment, as the 31-year-old walked the Red Carpet by herself.
Benny couldn’t escape the cameras, though, as videos of the couple continued to circulate on social media. In one clip, he could be seen blowing kisses to his girlfriend, as she went to strut her stuff for the paps.
Selena stunned in a black sheer sequined Oscar de la Renta gown with floral patterns, while Benny wore a long navy coat over a buttoned-up shirt. However, many weren’t a fan of the look, comparing it to a ‘bathrobe’.
Although the new couple have posted many PDA pics on the ‘gram, it’s the first time they’ve made an ‘official’ appearance together as a couple at an event. However, they were spotted courtside at an LA Lakers game just a couple of weeks ago.

Of course, fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter to celebrate the momentous occasion, and they didn’t hold back on their opinions.
“No way he shows up with a bathrobe while she’s over here looking like a princess,” wrote one.
Another savagely said: “Benny Blanco looking like he raided his grandpa’s closet for the fit.”
“Is this for real or a publicity stunt to trick us?” questioned another.
However, others rushed to the star’s side: “She was with one of the best-looking men in music. Look what that got her. Drama and heartache. She needs to prove Nothing- She’s in love and we should be happy for her.”
“They’re definitely getting married soon,” predicted another.
Although we’re not sure if we’ll be hearing wedding bells anytime soon, going from their body language, it looks like the relationship is in a great place. We’re just waiting for the double date with Travis and Taylor!
